some flowers that are blooming, etc.

Philip's Usborne History book taught us that in the 1800's, some Europeans wore decorative patches made of velvet or other material.  They did this to hide acne or scars.  It then showed us how to make our own patches with flour, water, construction paper, scissors and a white crayon.

The tomatoes and peppers (green bell, nardello and jalapeno) are from seeds that our neighbor grew and shared with us.  Any recipes for jalapeno or nardello are welcomed!  I also grew some nasturium and marigold seeds that I transplanted here to hopefully keep away the bunnies--we'll see . . .
 Science Experiment: Conduction
The styrofoam was a poor conductor of heat; we could not feel the warmth from it because it did not let warmth through.
As the above photo shows, it took it bit more work to involve Sophia in the process but we did finally get her journal accomplished also.

Sophia took this of herself during this time--again distracted!
