This morning we worked on readers after breakfast. Philip is doing really well at sounding out the words. Then, we worked on our chores for the day and made cookies for our visit with friends later in the day. While the cookies were baking, we worked out to a kid's workout video. (You can see how well Sophia participated in the video.)
At our dear friends' house, the moms chatted over laundry while the kids played. The girls were cute with their dress-up clothes. Later, the two girls chatted over the counter while chopping apples into teeny bits with butter knives, a.k.a. helping mom prep for dinner. It is always sweet to see your children having friendships. On the way home, Philip found a convenient use for his hat when trying to sleep when it's still light outside.
