4-H club meeting

Getting school supply bags ready for the Mennonite relief group was a lot of fun!
Sophia wanted me to take a picture of her baby doll.
Here are the school bags.

*Philip just joined 4-H this year.  Last night was the first meeting of the new year.

smores!

This was a great Sunday night.  Jess made us a fire and we ate macaroni and cheese and then made smores.

Philip is eating his smore without marshmallows.  He still fears we will make him eat marshmallows for some reason.  Notice the lantern from Uncle Mike--it is really handy.
Jess said she looks older in this one.  I agree.
 Here is Sophia talking . . . and talking . . . and talking . . .    :)
Philip's face is cute in this one.  I think they were talking about how far the different flashlights would shine on the leaves above us.
yummy!

This is what she was doing while I was working with the boys on their school work.

Sophia with the bendy straws

After the show was over, we turned to look at Sophia and noticed she had taped the straws to her legs.  Yikes!

 Great Grandma Helen  :)

trying to figure out the telescope . . . hmm . . . maybe that could help me get closer to wherever Philip's mind is  :)

Holley's party

Notice Philip--we didn't see it until later!
They moved the slip and slide so the girls wouldn't have to get muddy.  It turns out, the slip in slide was the object in the way--the mud was the highlight!

Philip tried and loved this white melon a former coleague of Jess' grew.  :)
